Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 based on experience

The Role: Principal, Client Engagement

We’re looking for a self starter who is looking to take the next step in their career. Someone with a foundational background in public affairs and client management. Someone who wants to solve big problems and deliver smart, strategic counsel to clients who play in high-stakes arenas.
As
Principal of Client Engagement, you will play a critical role in supporting client relationships, ensuring they get the expertise, strategy, and execution needed to drive impactful campaigns.


What You’ll Do:
  • Client Engagement:
    • Collaborate with senior and executive leadership to develop and execute winning campaign strategies.
    • Support the teams working on New York-based clients, ensuring their priorities and goals are met and exceeded.
    • Build relationships that last. Clients should see you as a key contributor to their overall success.
    • Prioritize crisis vs proactive communications, managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Business Growth & Thought Leadership
    • Spot opportunities by monitoring and analyzing industry trends.
    • Identify ways to expand client engagements and upsell contracts.
    • Support the development of proposals, presentations and reports to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Leadership & Execution
    • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and accountability.
    • Refine and optimize internal workflows—because efficiency drives impact.
    • Set the bar high. Elevate the firm’s standards for execution, innovation, and results.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in client management, public affairs, communications, government, or a related field.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset and a tactical edge - you see the big picture and handle the details.
  • Knowledge of New York’s political, corporate, and nonprofit landscape.
